Connection is a recovery support group program for adults living with a serious mental illness. The groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope. On average, groups meet biweekly for 90 minutes, are offered at no cost to participants, follow a flexible structure without an educational format, and do not recommend or endorse any medications or other medical therapies.
NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group will help:
- Aim for better coping skills
- Find strength in sharing experiences
- Not judge anyone's pain
- Forgive ourselves and reject guilt
- Embrace humor as healthy
- Accept that we cannot solve every problem
- Understand that mental health conditions are no one's fault and can be traumatic experiences

Lifehouse Martha’s Closet and Career Closet

Lifehouse Martha’s Closet and Career Closet provides free basic clothing to families and individuals in need. We supply our donations to residents who lack the means or resources to purchase them on their own.
Services provided:
- Clothing
Martha’s Closet is a referral based ministry that provides clothing to those who are in need. Guests must be referred by an agency/church/school.
The form has changed to provide us with the necessary information needed to pull clothing accurately. When referring a client please fill out all the information for each family member using their first and last names and add any pertinent client information needed.

Parkview Health is a not-for-profit, community-owned organization, providing financial assistance to individuals with limited or no ability to pay for services and who meet assistance guidelines.

Mental Health First Aid offers their course to anyone that wants to learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
This program provides:
- Training in mental health aid
- Teachings on recovery and resiliency

- Adult program
- Faith and Spiritual Communities
- Fire and EMS program
- Older Adults program and more
Even though you can now take virtual MHFA courses from anywhere in the United States, funding requirements may prevent an Instructor from accepting some applications, since the courses are paid for by Local and State initiatives. Be sure to search all classes to find the best course for you.

MHANI offers a free Anxiety and Depression support group every Wednesday at 6 pm. The support group is facilitated by peers who have faced the challenge that the support group addresses. A mental health diagnosis is not required to attend.
Bowen Center

The Bowen Center offers telepsychiatry to deliver mental health services to remote locations and counties in Northern Indiana. Telepsychiatry enables clinical providers the ability to provide excellent clinical care to individuals in rural locations with limited access and mobility through secure HD Video Conferencing.
This program provides:
- Psychiatric evaluations
- Medication follow-up visits
- Individual counseling
- Nursing support
Bowen Center accepts Medicare and Medicaid, as well as private insurances. Patients will not be denied services based on their inability to pay. The Bowen Center offers a sliding fee scale based on household income and size, as well as charity care for eligible households.
